為講好北京故事、傳遞北京聲音，展示北京高質量發展的重要舉措和成效，幫助在京外國機構、外籍人士更好了解北京，讀懂北京，市外辦翻譯中心與北京第二外國語學院中國公共政策翻譯研究院聯合推出“讀懂北京 每日一詞”系列，從北京市《政府工作報告》配套名詞解釋中精心選取37個年度政策熱詞，并翻譯發布權威英文譯法

Five key initiatives
是指圍繞首都城市戰略定位，從國際科技創新中心建設、“兩區”建設、全球數字經濟標桿城市建設、以供給側結構性改革創造新需求、以疏解北京非首都功能為“牛鼻子”推動京津冀協同發展等五個維度，形成體系化的工作抓手，更好服務和融入新發展格局。
These are five development initiatives launched by Beijing to better fulfill its role as the national capital. They include building Beijing into an international center of innovation; developing the "two zones", namely the Integrated National Demonstration Zone for Opening up the Services Sector and the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone; turning Beijing into a global model city for the digital economy; stimulating and creating new demand through supply-side structural reform; and making greater headway in the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region through relocation of functions non-essential to Beijing's role as the capital. These initiatives will help the city better embrace and boost the country's new development paradigm.
