It is learned from the Beijing Daxing International Airport Port (PKX) immigration inspection station that, as of May 15, inbound and outbound trips at the PKX this year have surpassed 2 million, representing a year-on-year surge of 34.4%. Among them, foreign nationals accounted for 26%. These figures not only showcase the vitality of PKX as an international aviation hub, but also reflect the increasing interconnectivity between an open China and the rest of the world.
Stimulated by a range of favorable entry and exit policies, such as unilateral visa-free policy, mutual visa exemptions and visa-free transit policy, travel and shopping in China continue to gain strong momentum. Since the beginning of this year, PKX has processed 269,000 inbound trips by foreign nationals, marking a year-on-year increase of 58%. The majority of international travelers came from Russia, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, and other countries. A growing number of foreigners are entering China through the Daxing airport, leveraging streamlined entry policies to explore and experience the country.
With the summer travel peak approaching and international flights increasing in frequency and density, PKX is gearing up for accelerated growth in passenger traffic. To manage flight surges and maintain orderly procedures, the airport’s immigration inspection station will intensify monitoring and early warning of passenger flows, optimize staff allocation, and further improve the quality of inspection services. Efforts will be strengthened at key service points such as dedicated and fast-track lanes, ensuring timely assistance for vulnerable travelers—including children, the elderly, and those with urgent needs. In addition, the station will offer round-the-clock “one-stop” services for the issuance of temporary entry permits, as well as streamlined procedures for direct transit passengers exempt from inspection formalities.
