Dongcheng District celebrated the 5th anniversary of twinning with Oeiras, Portugal
On September 12, the Commemoration of the 5th Anniversary of the Sister-City Relationship between Dongcheng District and Oeiras, Portugal, as well as the Promotion Meeting of the Sino-Portuguese Industrial Park was successfully held.
According to Francisco Goncalves, Vice Mayor of Oeiras, over the past five years since the establishment of the relations, the two places have been committed to pragmatic cooperation. Through the joint efforts of both sides, the friendly ties have experienced a steady and healthy development. He hoped that the enterprises of the two places would strengthen exchanges and cooperation within the framework of the sister-city relationship, so as to benefit from each other and achieve win-win results.
Going forward, the two places will continue to deepen friendly exchanges, seek more common ground in the field of the industrial park, and jointly bring cooperation programs to fruition, thus facilitating the high-quality development of the regional economy.
Shijingshan District and Rome’s Municipio VIII signed a letter of intent on friendly exchanges and cooperation
From September 17 to 24, Chang Wei, Secretary of the CPC Shijingshan District Committee, led a delegation to Italy. During the visit, a letter of intent on friendly exchanges and cooperation was signed with the Municipio VIII of Rome to intensify exchanges and cooperation in such fields as economy, science and technology, culture, education, tourism, convention and exhibition, and urban renewal.
Mentougou District and Province of Mantua, Italy, signed a memorandum on friendly exchanges
On October 31, Lyu Chenfei, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Mentougou District Committee and Governor of Mentougou District, and Carlo Bottani, President of the Province of Mantua communicated via video link and signed a memorandum on friendly exchanges.
Lyu introduced the rich historical and cultural resources, socio-economic development, and regional development advantages of Mentougou District. He hoped that the signing of the memorandum would be an opportunity for in-depth cooperation with the Province of Mantua in food industry, organic agriculture, eco-tourism, and medical technology, among others.
