On the afternoon of March 23, Yin Yong, Mayor of Beijing, met with Jean-Pascal Tricoire, Chairman of the French company Schneider Electric.
Yin Yong stated that China’s economy maintained steady progress last year, and its future growth potential and market capacity remain substantial. Based on the five key initiatives, Beijing has been vigorously promoting high-quality development with reduced input and accelerating its efforts to become an international center for sci-tech innovation. As a result, in recent years, the city has attracted a large number of high-tech talent and enterprises in fields such as artificial intelligence and intelligent manufacturing, yielding a series of pioneering scientific and technological achievements. As a global leader in energy management and industrial automation, Schneider Electric is encouraged to leverage Beijing’s advantages in innovation resources and further increase its R&D investment in the city to launch more new products and technologies. These efforts will support the digital transformation of Beijing’s manufacturing sector with higher quality and efficiency. In addition, Beijing will continue to implement its service package and steward-style service mechanisms to better serve enterprises.
Jean-Pascal Tricoire spoke highly of Beijing’s achievements in scientific and technological innovation, noting that Schneider Electric has maintained a long-standing presence in China and invested extensively in Beijing, achieving significant growth over the years. Looking ahead, the company will remain committed to the Chinese market and to deepening its development in Beijing.
